Keith Adams is a Managing Partner and co-founder of Pebblebed, and one of the most decorated systems engineers of his generation. His career runs from the deepest layers of computer systems through frontier AI research and internet-scale product architecture.

Keith was the 20th engineer at VMware, where he worked across the hardware/software boundary and coauthored a seminal paper on modern virtual machine implementation. He later founded Facebook AI Research (FAIR), which became one of the most influential AI research labs on the planet, producing work that shaped the entire field.

He subsequently served as Chief Architect at Slack, where he was the principal technical mind behind one of the fastest-scaling business platforms ever built. His command of distributed systems, compilers, virtual machines, and programming language theory is legendary among engineers who have worked with him. He approaches every problem from first principles and won't ship an abstraction until it's exactly right.
